Our research is centered on the engineering and development of recombinant antibodies. We develop and refine techniques that support antibody discovery, with applications that range from therapeutic use to diagnostics, including clinical assays as well as environmental and food safety monitoring. We are also interested in exploring new antibody-based assay concepts that can broaden the scope and performance of diagnostic applications.

To advance this work, we make use of in-house synthetic human antibody libraries, display techniques, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and efficient immunoassay–based discovery approaches. Alongside antibodies, we also employ alternative protein scaffold–based bioaffinity tools, such as VHHs. Our activities are carried out in collaboration with various academic groups and industry partners, with the aim of contributing to practical solutions in the biomedical and environmental fields.
